Seven Days until Departure!

We only have one week left until we leave Cape Town; that is crazy! We are now finalizing our itinerary and getting the necessary gear to have a successful journey to Nairobi, Kenya. I'm not sure it has fully hit us that we will be bicycling for over two months in a row; it seems like a daunting task, but we are both very excited to get going and see the all beautiful countries and people Africa has to offer.

It is important to note that we will be updating our blog at least one a week, either one of us directly from an internet cafe along the way, or Nick and Adam will communicate with us through our satellite phone and update the blog if we are unable to. Please be sure to check back in here once we start going as you can track our progress and read some engrossing stories that we will be sure to mention!

Lastly, we would all like to thank everyone who has checked out our website and taken an interst in our journey and mission. We would like to specifically thank those of you who have donated; we greatly appreciate your generosity and helping us fulfill our dream of bicycling across Africa and promoting a better understanding of this great continent.
