Donations and Updates

First, we want to thank everyone who has so generously offered their support for this undertaking.  Prior to departure, we were able to raise close to 2,000 dollars, enough for the cyclists to purchase bicycles and a lot of the necessary gear for their trip.  They wouldn't be on the road now without your assistance.

That being said, Aaron and Eric still need your help!  While a significant portion of their expenses occured up front, the cyclists are still in need of financial support.  They will need to be able to cover the costs of food, accomdations when necessary, repairs, and more gear as the conditions necessitate.  Please continue to spread the word on Eric and Aaron's adventure so that we can raise enough funds to get them all the way to Kenya!

In other news, Cycle for Understanding was recently sent a photograph of the cyclists with a family of "instant" fans! The riders met Martin and Agnes Visagie, along with their son Jeandre, on the Ceres Karoo road en route to Calvinia.  The photo was taken on June 14th, day 3 of the ride!
